Stars Of Wrestling

Hello everyone.

 

Besides doing a blog on Southeast Asian Pro Wrestling and two promotions, one in Norway and one in Australia, this blogger is definitely busy.  

 

Keeping up with AEW, WWE, TNA and NJPW is a chore but I find a way to keep up with it as well.

 

Also, there are the local independent promotions in the area.  Last Saturday, I attended a West Coast Pro Wrestling show in San Francisco for the second time.  Definitely, it left an impression on this fan.  Despite one close call in a no disqualification match, this fan enjoyed the show and the free beer one fan gave me.  One day soon, I'll attend another WCPW show in the area.

 

A week from this coming Saturday, I'll be attending one more independent show in the area before my yearly vacation outside America.  Stars Of Wrestling, an independent promotion out of Alameda, will be putting one "one great show!"

 

Before sharing the card of matches, there are two people to thank for wanting to see this show (which is my first time!).  Hopefully, each won't mind my mentioning them here.  

 

Allen Smith and Bobby Smith are friends I've known for awhile going back to my time "volunteering" with Roller Derby around 2007-2008.  Bobby ran some Roller Derby shows in Alameda in the time frame and attended numerous shows there.  Bobby also skated in several Roller Leagues in his career.  Allen is very helpful in promoting this promotion and am grateful that the word gets out for pro wrestling fans in the area

 

Anyway, the show is scheduled for Saturday, August 9th at the Alameda Point Gym in the northeast portion of the city.  Doors for the event open at 4pm!  Here is the lineup of matches so far for the show.  Looks like at least nine great matches.  As always, the card is subject to change.
